YATHARTH HOSPITAL ATTRACTS ₹3,150 CRORE FROM ADVENT INTERNATIONAL FOR 24.9% STAKE
Private-equity firm Advent International has agreed to invest ₹3,150 crore in Yatharth Hospital & Trauma Care Services for a 24.9% stake, providing the hospital group with significant capital for expansion. Yatharth operates a growing multi-speciality healthcare network and has been increasing its bed capacity as demand for organised healthcare continues to rise. The transaction reflects growing investor interest in India’s hospital sector, which benefits from rising medical insurance coverage, increasing demand for specialised treatment, medical tourism and the gradual shift from fragmented healthcare providers toward organised hospital chains. Private-equity investors are increasingly looking for regional hospital groups that can scale across multiple cities rather than remaining dependent on one facility. Advent’s investment gives Yatharth additional financial capacity to expand beds, medical specialities and technology while potentially accelerating its geographic growth. For India’s healthcare entrepreneurs, the deal demonstrates the value of creating scalable healthcare platforms rather than individual hospitals. It also highlights the increasing role of private capital in expanding healthcare infrastructure outside the largest metropolitan markets.
