YATHARTH HOSPITAL ATTRACTS ₹3,150 CRORE FROM ADVENT INTERNATIONAL FOR 24.9% STAKE
Private-equity investor Advent International has agreed to invest ₹3,150 crore of primary capital in Yatharth Hospital & Trauma Care Services for a 24.9% stake, creating one of the notable healthcare private-equity transactions of the period. The investment will provide the hospital group with substantial fresh capital for expansion while allowing the existing promoter family to remain the largest shareholder. Yatharth operates a growing multi-speciality hospital network with more than 2,500 beds and an announced capacity of approximately 3,250 beds. The company reported strong revenue growth during the June 2026 quarter, with consolidated revenue rising 51% year-on-year to ₹392.7 crore. The investment comes as India’s organised healthcare sector continues to expand because of rising demand for speciality care, increasing health awareness, medical insurance coverage and growth in medical tourism. Advent’s investment provides Yatharth with both capital and access to an international healthcare-investment platform. The company has indicated that the funds will support expansion, capacity creation, clinical specialisation and technology adoption. The transaction also illustrates a broader trend in India’s healthcare sector, where private-equity investors are increasingly backing regional hospital chains that can expand into underserved markets. For entrepreneurs, the transaction demonstrates the importance of building scalable healthcare networks rather than relying on individual hospitals. For investors, it shows that healthcare remains a major long-term investment theme despite volatility in other sectors.
